Girls are not for sale
Having escaped from “the life” herself, GEMS founder Rachel Lloyd created Girls Education and Mentoring Services as a refuge for underaged girls who are manipulated into being unwilling participants in the commercial sex worker industry. Publicis offered its own services pro-bono in the creation of a website and communications to help amplify their message. While a serious topic, GEMS looked to bring feminity and hope with a colorful palette.

As a pro-bono project, we recommended a Squarespace site for both cost and client ease of use. As a designer, this meant for an rewarding challenge using Squarespace’s streamlined set of tools and we were able to create a solution true to their image, capable of their professional needs.
